Themistocles Vokos, born in Athens Greece in 1939, started his career as a journalist in 1957 and worked for the Greek maritime weekly Naftiliaki and as a foreign correspondent for a number of newspapers and publications, contributing articles to the Financial Times, The Sunday Times, Lloyd’s List and other journals.

He is a founding member of the international maritime exhibition Posidonia and the founder in 1970 of The Seatrade Organisation in the UK, Seatrade magazine and the Seatrade Academy in Cambridge, followed by the establishment of a number of companies involved in publishing, trade fair organising, management training and market research, with activities in Hong Kong and China, the UK, Greece, USA, Japan and Brasil.
